Anti-Harassment Policy
At Kaigi on Rails, we have an Anti-Harassment Policy.
Please note that if you do not agree or comply with the following conditions, you may be denied participation or asked to leave the event.
Purpose of This Policy
This policy was created to help ensure that all participants can fully enjoy the conference.
This policy is not meant to impose unnecessary restrictions on anyone's behavior.
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to participant behavior during the event, at related meetups and social gatherings, and in communications on blogs, social media, and other platforms relating to the event.
This is to ensure that all attendees can have a comfortable experience, not just at the current event but also at future ones.
The policy also applies to the organizing staff and sponsors.
Unacceptable Behavior
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
- Offensive comments relating to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, age or religion
- Sexually suggestive behavior (such as displaying sexual imagery or wearing sexualised clothing inappropriate for a public all-ages event)
- Threatening, stalking, deliberate unwanted following, or planning to do so
- Unwanted photography or recording
- Persistent disruption of presentations or other events
- Inappropriate or unwanted physical contact
- Praising individuals in a way that reinforces gender distinctions or roles
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour
In addition to what's listed above, any action that makes participants feel uncomfortable may also be considered harassment.
Those who are requested to cease harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
