CFP stands for "Call For Proposals" or "Call For Papers", and in the context of tech conferences refers to the public call for talk submissions.
CFPs are the foundation of tech conferences, including Kaigi on Rails. The conference is only possible thanks to your submissions.
In other words, it's you who makes the conference happen!
You don't need to have anything special to submit a proposal. We believe that your personal experience is valuable in itself. Even if your topic isn’t highly technical, it still has a strong chance of being accepted. We look forward to receiving your proposals!

Here are some general criteria we consider when reviewing proposals.
If you're thinking about submitting, please take these into account.

Talks that can be enjoyed by a broad audience are highly encouraged. Proposals that are neither too basic nor overly advanced tend to have a higher chance of being selected.

If your talk relates to Rails or web development, there is a strong chance it will be considered. Talks focused solely on Ruby may be lower priority.
